Hello all CS aspirants… After a long gap I have come up with an issue not an issue as such but just a temporary confusion in case of frequent failures in CS examination…
I can relate myself with this article as I have gone through this situation and I definitely understand intensity of hurting feeling when we fail the attempt again and again even after putting in our best possible efforts…
This article shall not be just an article but an introspection on ourselves to face the CS challenge… So let’s get started with this short article journey…
Below mentioned impediments must have come across when you had faced failures or during the phase when you just felt I am lost… Let’s have look at some similar issues… Which came up in my life too 🙂 so don’t worry I am with you all :0)
1)Frustration:- This is the very first thing which will haunt us when we loose our attempt by many marks or just with few marks. Noone likes failures as we all strive for success but when we have to face failures this is the thing which matters us a lot being failure and being student that is frustration. We are bound to get frustrated and it is obvious. But never let your frustration affect your goal of pursuing CS.There are many techniques out there which you can use in order to reduce your frustration or else just bringing down it to zero like Yoga to increase your mental strength or meditation to bring overall mental peace and stability.
2)Underestimating our capabilities : This happens most of the time. We keep comparing ourselves with others who have cleared modules in first attempt or those who are qualified company secretaries. This is quiet natural as it’s human tendency to compare things. Those who have cleared in first attempt their intelligence power, their efforts, their study is totally different from you then how would you get the same results as they have got?? And those who are qualified CS just think once that they were in the same situation somewhere in the past as you are now. So never ever Underestimate our powers, our qualities, our capabilities as only your professional failure never ever make you failure in life itself as it is just temporary or in sweet language I could say just a DELAYED SUCCESS. Trust that sooner or later you will be a CS.
3)Bother about society: This is the worst thing ever that we do when it comes to failure. We keep thinking what my parents would say? What my friends would think about me? What to say when in a social event if someone asks whether you have cleared or not? And many a times most students skip social gatherings to avoid these kind of situations. But trust me you need not. People will say what they want to say. Whether you achieve success or be a failure. People are tend to say something as thier job is to give free useless advices on how you should attempt the exam or switch over to a new course. But you have nothing to do with it. You shall do whatever your heart says. Follow it and just be focused on your life endeavours.
4)Changing our mind:- As we had to face failures many times most of the students think of changing their mind and opting for another course. Before taking such decision just close you eyes and ask yourself that why you hold on this for such a long time then?? Probably your heart will give the right answer. Changing a course is not a remedy on any failure as one and only remedy is to win over the challenge. Because that will be worth your efforts so far.
5)Considering ourself guilty:- most of the time it happens that we start blaming ourselves that we had chosen wrong path. If I had taken MBA or PGDM I would have been a qualified person and I would have settled in life by now. Have you ever observed when you think like this our mind gets more confused with the situation and it will lead you to demotivation instead try to figure out your plus points, analyse where your efforts were not sufficient and start working on it.
6)Emphasising on what would have been than what is and will be:- When we feel hopeless by failures we often think about what would have been so that I would have been at better position than thinking about what is the situation exactly and how we can turn it to a positive result. So whatever the results are accept it and try to defeat it with all your strengths than just sticking with imaginative illusions. As illusions always show you fake situations than real one.
7)Huanted with inferiority complex:- Here I would like to give you all my personal example. When I was not clearing executive module 2 even after giving it twice I started feeling inferior than others. I started feeling that I am not capable of doing anything in my life. As we all to some extent sacrifice our social life as far as professional exams are concerned. We look around and think ohhh all other people are happy they are just enjoying their lives. And we are just stucked with our studies. What the hell we are doing. But if you are too thinking so then just hold on and think once if we become a qualified CS tomorrow then whatever we sacrificed to become CS that all will get mitigated. Then we need not go to anything as everything will come to us on their own. Never look out for small advantages always look for bigger one as it will give you extraordinary life than others ordinary life. And I am sure that one day you all will thank yourself for not giving up.
So buddies I think I have covered most of the setbacks which come in your lives of stragglers… As I am a struggler too so This is what I observed when I faced these kind of situations and tried to look at these situations with positive outlook… I hope this introspection will help you all and those who feel that they are loosers I would say you are not loosers unless and until you stop putting in your efforts and quite your dream. So in this sense even though we are failure we are trying hard so we are winners… Forever 🙂
Best luck all of you and never quit!!!
